King classes get onboard the "Polar Express" learning train
All aboard the “Polar Express”! Students in Nicole Bal’s and Erica Friedman’s classes at Martin Luther King Intermediate School took an exciting journey through reading, writing, and math with a festive “Polar Express”-themed unit. After reading the beloved story, students dove into engaging academic activities that sharpened their language arts and problem-solving skills.
The adventure concluded with a sweet and creative twist: Students teamed up to design and build their own Polar Express gingerbread trains. Through collaboration, imagination, and hands-on learning, they brought the story to life in the most delicious way.
This was more than a holiday activity – it was a celebration of learning, teamwork, and creativity!
