Congratulations to Dr. Elisabeth Sato, orchestra teacher at Martin Luther King Intermediate School, who has been recognized again this year as a Grammy Music Educator Award quarterfinalist for 2027!

Dr. Sato was honored as a quarterfinalist for 2026, and is named this year as a Legacy Applicant. A Legacy Applicant is a music teacher who previously applied for the Music Educator Award and whose application was carried over to the following year's competition, due to their sustained excellence and impact.

She will submit additional application materials and semifinalists will be announced in September.
